Villa François Gay - Music Initiation

Villa François Gay and arcFAM Association presents:
for girls and boys of 3-7 years of age
in French with some songs in English as well
Via its early music development programme, our Association arcFAM brings music to babies and children since 2007.
We use the modernised Kodály methode which advocates that music education should be started as early as possible, the content of the classes has to be adapted to the capabilities of the participants and that only music of excellent quality should be used in the education of children.
The aim of the program is to familiarise children with rhymes, children’s songs, live classical and traditional folk music in a creative way. As Zoltán Kodály said: "Let music belong to everyone!”. We welcome children from 3 to 6 years of age. During the classes singing accompanied by musical instruments, rythmic exercises, dances and games get centre stage. We also start discovering the world of musical notes. In addition to improving musical (hearing, rythm, singing) skills our classes also play an important role in children’s emotional, social and personal development.
We also aim to familiarise children with different musical instruments. Once a month a guest musician presents the "story" of his/her instrument. Participants will discover how the instrument is played, what type of melodies it can best perform.
